Theory planNot playtested
Beast Mastery Hunter solo leveling 10–20
A theory Beast Mastery start for solo leveling from 10 to 20. It raises pet health and armor, then damage you and the pet deal while the pet is active, then a cheaper Revive Pet, a Cheetah speed talent, then 30% pet movement speed. This site has not playtested the order.

Beast Mastery
11 / 51Marksmanship
0 / 51Survival
0 / 51Who this is for
- Hunters who quest with a pet from 10 to 20.
- Players who will revive the pet often enough to notice a 6 second shorter Revive Pet.
Who should skip it
- Lone Wolf Marksmanship. Focused Fire requires an active pet.
- Melee Survival. Survival talents are empty here.
Milestones
- Level 10: First point
Endurance Training 1/5. Pet health and armor +3%. Call Pet, Revive Pet and Aspect of the Hawk rank 1 are also trained at 10.
- Level 14: Five Beast Mastery points spent
Endurance Training 5/5 is +15% pet health and armor. Row 2 is legal; Focused Fire is the spend at 15, not at 14.
- Level 15: Focused Fire starts
The sixth point is Focused Fire 1/2. The 2% pet-active damage completes at 16.
- Level 19: Ten Beast Mastery points spent
Focused Fire 2, Improved Revive Pet 2, Pathfinding 1. Row 3 is legal for the 11th point at 20.
- Level 20: Plan complete
Bestial Swiftness. Pet movement speed +30%. Aspect of the Cheetah, Aimed Shot rank 1 and Mend Pet rank 2 are also trained at 20.
How to play it
- Call Pet and Revive Pet are trained at 10 (Revive Pet costs 100% of base mana; spellbook beta). Keep the pet out: Focused Fire is +2% damage while the pet is active. Mend Pet rank 1 at 12 (50 Mana), rank 2 at 20 (90 Mana) if the pet is taking damage.
- Hunter’s Mark rank 1 at 6 (15 Mana). Serpent Sting rank 2 at 10 / rank 3 at 18. Arcane Shot rank 2 at 12 / rank 3 at 20. Aspect of the Hawk rank 1 at 10 / rank 2 at 18 for ranged attack power. Concussive Shot at 8 if a mob reaches you. Multi-Shot rank 1 at 18. Aimed Shot rank 1 is 20 (75 Mana) and is not an opener at 10.
- Aspect of the Cheetah is trained at 20 (40 Mana); Pathfinding 1 adds 3% to that speed bonus. If the pet dies, Revive Pet with Improved Revive Pet’s −6 sec / −40% mana at talent rank 2. Do not drop Revive Pet points to reach Unleashed Fury: row 3 still needs ten earlier Beast Mastery points.
Why this order
Eleven points stay in Beast Mastery. Marksmanship and Survival remain empty.
Endurance Training can take the first five points. Focused Fire, Improved Revive Pet and Pathfinding are row 2. Bestial Swiftness is row 3 after ten earlier Beast Mastery points.
Deadly Aspects (hawk Auto Shot haste) is skipped so the pet stays the focus of this 10–20 budget.
What the spent talents do
Endurance Training
Endurance Training increases pet Health and Armor by 3% per rank, 15% at rank 5.
Focused Fire
Focused Fire rank 2 increases all damage you and your pet deal by 2% while your pet is active.
Improved Revive Pet
Improved Revive Pet rank 2: Revive Pet cast time −6 sec, mana cost −40%, pet returns with 30% more health.
Pathfinding
Pathfinding rank 1 increases the speed bonus of Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack by 3%.
Bestial Swiftness
Bestial Swiftness increases pet movement speed by 30%. It is a 1-rank row-3 talent.
Weaknesses and tradeoffs
- Deadly Aspects is skipped, so Aspect of the Hawk Auto Shot does not gain the recorded 2% haste proc per rank.
- Unleashed Fury (pet damage) is also on row 3 and is not the 11th point here.
- Lone Wolf in Marksmanship wants no pet. This plan assumes an active pet for Focused Fire.
Gear notes
- Calibrated Blunderbuss (#279894) is a choose-one gun on Old Ironforge Incursion: 25–48 Damage, Speed 2.30, 16.05 dps, +3 Stamina. A slower gun favors Auto Shot hits; a faster gun favors more Auto Shot swings. Arcane Shot is instant and does not use weapon speed. Compare other recorded guns on that quest or the same slot using the same required-level or item-level field. The other choose-one rewards on that quest are the recorded tradeoff if you do not want a gun.
Optional point
Unleashed Fury at 20
The pet stays alive and you would rather 3% pet and hawk damage than Bestial Swiftness’s 30% pet movement speed.
This is an 11th-point swap only. Endurance Training 5, Focused Fire 2, Improved Revive Pet 2 and Pathfinding 1 stay; Unleashed Fury 1 replaces Bestial Swiftness. Unleashed Fury rank 1 is +3% damage done by your pets and hawks.
