LEGACY QUESTIONSWoW Forever Legacy perks FAQ
What the Legacy trees do, how they relate to talents and what remains unconfirmed.
What are Legacy perks in WoW Forever?+
Legacy perks are a second progression layer shown in the BlizzCon preview, separate from class talents. The demo listed three trees with 20 perks: Adventure covers leveling and travel, Resourcefulness covers durability, reputation, honor and buffs, and Professions covers gathering, cooking, fishing and skill-ups.
Do Legacy perks use talent points?+
No. Legacy perks have their own ranks and do not draw from the 51 talent points that the calculator tracks. Talented is the only perk that touches talents: it grants talent points from level 9 instead of level 10 while the 51-point cap stays in place.
How do you earn Legacy points?+
The preview data we hold lists the perks and their ranks but not the rule for earning points. Treat any specific unlock rate as unconfirmed until Blizzard documents it; this page will update when the source data records it.
Which Legacy perks help while leveling?+
Well Rested speeds up rested experience, Thrill of Adventure returns health and mana on killing blows outside instances, Frequent Flier halves flight costs and The Quick and the Dead makes recovery after a death cheaper. Field Medicine and Field Guide shorten bandage and camp cooldowns.
Are any Legacy perks still hidden?+
Yes. The Professions tree shows 2 additional slots without a revealed perk, so the final count may be higher than 20. Dedicated Study is the only perk with a cast time and a daily cooldown.
Perk texts come from the BlizzCon preview build and may change before launch. The preview data does not record how Legacy points are earned. Check the data sources for the snapshot date and attribution.
